We scored some epic waves at Illaroo. The Frenchman were ripping!
A big breakfast then time to hit the road our next destination the Dorrigo National Park.
We took a break from the drive stopping in Coffs Harbour. We jumped the pier and attempted to slackline.
We stocked up on supplies then headed out to Dorrigo where we enjoyed a picnic in the park at the top of Dangar Falls.
After lunch we made our way down to the top of the falls to cool off in the running streams.
Here we met 3 germans and a swedish traveller we invited them to join us for a hike down to the bottom of the falls.
We were rewarded at the bottom, a 30 metre high water fall with sheer cliff faces all around.
A running creek caressed by green grass in the yonder, we swam our way to the base of falls immersing ourselves, feeling the power and engrossing ourselves in our surroundings.
We shared a cock + bull or 2 with our new friends, we were all feeling like we shared something special in this moment and were thankful for being here and having shared that amazing experience with each other! Safe travels new friends of the road! hope that you can join us for another adventure during your stay in Australia!
A spontaneous rendezvous with 2 french travellers Pierre and Perrick in the Tallows beach car park. We met this 2 funny frenchies during our time in Noosa.
They were also planning to travel down to Sydney and had met 2 Austrians during a work and stay at a farm near Coolum. A handshake, an invitation to join the roadtrip diaries was a pivot point for a unbelieveable experience in the days follow. It became a defining point in all our lives and affirmed why travel is such a special experience to be shared.
We eased into it taking a stopover in Minnie water. We found a paradisiac, deserted beach got wet and played in the shore break, bodysurfing buzzing off the energy of the waves and our surroundings.
After we kicked back on our own beach and enjoyed some Cock + Bull while our new troop got to know each other. Nothing like a few cock + bulls to break the ice!
We spent the late afternoon listening to the Austrian Florian oozing out classic tunes on the guitar and accordian, backing vocals supplied by the sounds of nature all around us.
Sitting around together, sipping on cock + bull, the light softening, I think we were all in a good place excited for the adventure in the days to come.
