The Roadtrip Diaries – Our visit to Nimbin..Not what you’d expect!

An old lady trying to sell you hash cookies, witnessing very casual drug deals going down in alley ways,  Batista’s pulling cones while making  our coffees are all thing you could expect in a place like Nimbin. But, we had a different trip.. We Camped out the night at Nimbin show grounds.

In the morning the guys were keen to head into town, we scouted for a parking spot and in the process stumbled upon the Nimbin skate park, we spontaneously decided to shred some crete. It was fun skating with our swedish friends.

Undoubtedly one of the best skate parks on the East coast of Australia.

After an intense session, we worked up quite a sweat. A local told us that we could cool off in the community pool right next to the skate park, even better it was free!

After having a wander in town and some lunch we decided to hit the road again. A local tipped us off about a local swimming hole with a tree swing we were sold and decided to try our luck and discover it for ourselves.

Well, If we weren’t spontaneous travellers we probably would have had expectations and this definitely exceeded it tenfold. You could imagine how we felt not having any to begin with..Pummmmmped!

Woah! This setup was crazy, 20 mtr high jungle swing into a big open swimming hole.

This was the highlight for the Swedes during their trip.

There was a small cascade and a natural diving board in the form of a dead log extending out from the rock, a perfect platform for backflips.

I definitely felt like we had the all round Nimbin experience and you can see why the locals love and proud of where they live, it definitely is a very unique and special place unlike any other.
